One of my kids’ favorite gifts this year were tie-dye leggings I bought from my long-time friend Cheryl, also known as Tulip. Tulip has been a fixture at the Hollywood Farmers’ Market for 15 years selling handmade incense—we go back even farther than that: Cheryl and I have been friends since we were teenagers!—and she has always produced her own line of handmade clothing. Her new tie-dye items are not your usual Grateful Dead flashbacks. The "new beautiful" line is feminine and edgy, taking gently used and vintage pieces and tie-dyeing them with unique colors and techniques. We love sporting the leggings at Taboo, especially in the recent chilly weather. We do have a few pairs of her leggings here at Taboo for $25.00, but Cheryl’s booth is always worth a visit—she’s at the Hollywood Farmers’ Market every Sunday.
