After college, Chris spent a decade in New York, which included successful stints in multiple careers. He freelanced as a makeup artist for Benefit and Urban Decay Cosmentics, worked with a public relations firm as their hair and makeup artist for fashion events, and did training and development for retail establishments and restaurants. When Chris finally returned to California, he settled in Los Angeles to pursue hairdressing full time. After training at the Toni and Guy Academy in Santa Monica (where he won several awards), Chris did freelance work in film and theater while also putting his talents to use as a wedding stylist. He joined Taboo in 2012, and in no time, his sense of aesthetics, management savvy, and easy charm made him everyone’s favorite go-to guy. Behind the chair, Chris combines his skills in hairstyling and customer service to provide memorable experiences for each of his clients. When he’s not behind the chair at Taboo, you can often find him onstage with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles. In addition to singing a mean solo, he keeps the rest of the men in the group styled to perfection!
