On the recommendation of Caryl, my friend and the owner of Noodle Stories (one of my favorite 3rd Street clothes shops), I recently visited the wine store Domaine LA. What a unique and wonderful find! With its welcoming atmosphere and clean, modern design, this Melrose shop is about as unpretentious as it gets. Owner Jill Bernheimer is a friendly and knowledgeable wine enthusiast who describes her store as “more wine, less attitude.” Jill says she gained her extensive knowledge of the juice through her love of drinking it. “Kindred spirits!” I thought. Once I saw the array of reasonably priced, interesting wines Jill has to offer, I knew Domaine LA would become my “go to” place for Taboo’s happy hour vino.
