As we slip into fall (oh-so-subtly here in Southern California) the stubbornly-unchanging leaves make me long for fall colors: Think rusty auburns, deep golds and mahogany browns. Hair color for fall shifts accordingly, from lighter sunny shades to warmer, richer tones. Blondes go warmer using honey and strawberry tones. Redheads add copper gold and strawberry. Brunettes add richer tones of toffee, chestnut, chocolate and espresso. These slight but very stunning variations can all be achieved with a technique we call toning lights.
